The Recruit team has helped Lewisham manage its criminal records references for many years, but the authority did not move to Recruit until 2015.

One of the most unusual aspects of the move is that in order to meet the specific and urgent timeframes of the council, the system was installed, staff trained and the jobsite deployed in just 18 days.

Lewisham Council, re-launched their jobs site with a truly responsive design using our Recruit applicant tracking system.

The new site utilises responsive web design, offering a ‘mobile-first’ experience for their recruitment process. The process has been optimised to allow job seekers to effortlessly search for vacancies regardless of the size of the screen they are viewing on (mobile, tablet, desktop), giving them the ability to apply on the go. Users can register to the site, update their background history for current and future applications and receive alerts specific to their interests. Applicants also have the ability to see status of their applications and communications through their own account page, as well as respond to interview invites and manage their applications post submission.

With only a very tight deadline of 18 days, we are happy to say that the project was delivered on time, to budget and the client is delighted with the end result; impressed by the ease of use, quick implementation and the fact Recruit can be easily managed by non-technical staff. One user commented that they “found the system to be really easy to use, with logical and straightforward processes. It’s easy to navigate, flexible and user friendly.”
